
About Me
Welcome to Sweetlydon! My name is Lydon Sacoff and I specialize in all things sweet. Growing up in blustery Chicago, food was a way to warm from the inside. With something delicious almost always bubbling away on the stove, I came to appreciate the joys and marvels of cooking early on. I moved to DC to attend Georgetown University where I oft stole into campus kitchenettes to fulfill cravings of foods from home. Senior year, amidst bites of my daily dessert trials, my roommates asked me if I had ever considered attending culinary school. What an idea (I knew I loved those girls)! A year and a half later, I was immersed in the most fantastic world I could ever conjure up-the Baking and Pastry Arts program at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Mixing methodology, chocolate tempering technique and cake fabrication became my study topics, mignardise, ganache, profiteroles, my vocabulary. I am happy to launch Sweetlydon, to create all the wonderfully tempting treats our minds can imagine.
